What you will do

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable enterprise application architectures using Java and web technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective technical designs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and developers.
• Drive innovation by staying current with emerging trends in Java and web development.
• Analyze complex systems to identify optimization opportunities and solve technical challenges.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Must have valid right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship).
• Must be a UK resident for the last 10 years and eligible for UK government security clearance.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB) and JavaScript.
• Proven experience designing large-scale enterprise applications using Java frameworks like Spring and Hibernate.
• Strong proficiency in web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and frameworks like React or Angular.
• Deep understanding of software architecture principles, microservices, and event-driven design.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cypress testing and OpenShift/Docker/Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.
