Senior Data Engineer - Data Platform

Location: Stockholm HQ, hybrid

What you will do

• Build, improve, and maintain the data platform.
• Develop and operate batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Work with domain teams to establish and evolve data serving pipelines and data assets through a Data Mesh approach.
• Enable analytics engineers and domain experts to build data products, self-service analytics, and data science solutions.
• Improve platform reliability, governance, observability, and performance.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, platform direction, and the adoption of technologies that solve real problems.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in data engineering and production systems at scale.
• Experience with modern data platform architectures and Data Mesh.
• Experience building production-grade data pipelines and ELT/ETL solutions.
• Knowledge of Kafka and streaming architectures, databases, and pipeline architecture.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, cloud platforms, and distributed systems.
• Ability to move between hands-on implementation, architecture discussions, stakeholder management, and cross-team technical decision-making.

Nice to have

• Experience from product companies, consulting, platform engineering, backend development, or infrastructure roles.
• Familiarity with GCP, AWS, Azure, Python, SQL, Dagster, dbt, dlt, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and Kubernetes.
