Focus on designing medallion-style architectures, implementing data contracts and observability, and improving pipeline efficiency through streaming and AI tooling.

What you will do
- Build and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL, Spark/PySpark, Airflow, and dbt.
- Design medallion-style Lakehouse architectures with S3 and modern table formats such as Iceberg and Delta Lake.
- Create reusable platform frameworks, data contracts, CI/CD pipelines, and observability practices.
- Implement data validation frameworks, monitoring, and SLIs/SLOs for critical pipelines.
- Contribute to an agile team modernizing a multi-cloud data platform and improving efficiency through automation and AI tooling.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of data engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python, advanced SQL, Airflow, Spark/PySpark, dbt, and CI/CD.
- Experience with Lakehouse architectures, dimensional modeling, and cloud data warehouses including S3, Athena, and Redshift.
- Expertise in data quality frameworks, monitoring, schema evolution, and data contracts.
- Ability to work from London or Stockholm.
Nice to have
- Experience with Kafka or Kinesis streaming platforms.
- Experience with AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Copilot.
- Terraform, Kubernetes, or Docker experience.
- Data catalog and metadata management experience.
