Data Platform DevOps Engineer (Python)

Location: The Hague, Netherlands; hybrid working

Salary: €5,030–€6,707 per month based on 40 hours per week, depending on knowledge and experience.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, maintain, and modernize customer data APIs and integration services using Python, Databricks, and related platform services.
• Develop secure, scalable, maintainable, and production-ready backend software for digital channels, business applications, and AI solutions.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment, and release processes.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, access management, and operational practices for reliable and observable services.
• Manage API performance, security, lifecycle, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with data engineers, platform engineers, architects, security teams, and business stakeholders on end-to-end customer data solutions.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Backend Engineer, or API Developer.
• Strong hands-on Python experience and a track record of writing clean, testable, and maintainable code.
• Experience designing, building, and operating APIs and backend services, including authentication, authorization, versioning, security, and lifecycle management.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, DevOps pipelines, monitoring, logging, and production support.
• Experience with cloud-native services on Azure and/or AWS, including cloud networking, secrets management, access control, and secure API connectivity.
• Experience with data platforms such as Databricks, or willingness to work with emerging data and AI technologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with containerization and Kubernetes.
• Experience working in Agile teams with software, data, platform, architecture, security, and business stakeholders.
