What you will do
- Develop new features and improvements for the backend and API.
- Collaborate with software engineers, designers, and product managers to bring ideas to life.
- Apply modern software design concepts such as domain-driven design and event sourcing.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code under the guidance of experienced engineers.
- Test, debug, and optimize high-traffic APIs for mobile and web clients.
- Participate in code reviews, stand-ups, and quarterly Discovery Days.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Some experience in backend development, preferably with PHP and relational databases (e.g., MySQL).
- Must be based in or near Amsterdam to work from the city-center office.
- Available from February 2026 for 32-40 hours per week for at least 5 months.
- Possession of a portfolio website showcasing side or school projects.
- English: C1 level (excellent written and verbal communication skills).
