What you will do

• Design and build high-scale backend services using Go.
• Shape the platform architecture and optimize data pipelines and analytics infrastructure.
• Collaborate directly with founders to define product priorities and make strategic technical decisions.
• Ensure system reliability, observability, and maintainability as user adoption accelerates.
• Influence hiring decisions, mentor future engineers, and establish technical standards.
• Take full ownership of systems from the initial idea through to production.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Strong commercial experience with Go.
• Proven track record of owning complex systems from design to production.
• Expertise in database design and data modelling for data-intensive systems.
• Experience making high-level architectural and technical decisions.
• Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid setup in Amsterdam.
