Senior Automation Engineer (Industrial Automation)

What you will do

• Lead preventive and corrective maintenance for ABB 800xA DCS, Schneider and Siemens PLCs, and Fix32 or equivalent SCADA platforms.
• Design, program, and implement automation systems, control logic, HMI interfaces, and SCADA/DCS integrations.
• Architect interfaces for robots, label applicators, smart devices, and other automated equipment.
• Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, critical incident escalation, and technical support to minimize production impact.
• Drive reliability, efficiency, modernization, and continuous-improvement initiatives using data, analytics, and emerging automation technologies.
• Maintain technical documentation and standards, collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams, and mentor junior engineers and technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience in industrial automation, preferably in food and beverage manufacturing or FMCG.
• Strong expertise in ABB 800xA DCS, Schneider and Siemens PLC programming, and SCADA systems such as Fix32.
• Knowledge of client-server architectures, industrial control systems, industrial networking, and automation principles.
• Advanced problem-solving, analytical, leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional automation initiatives and capital projects.

Nice to have

• Experience in food manufacturing and knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and sanitation standards.
• Exposure to robotics, vision systems, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
