What you will do

• Lead the design, implementation, troubleshooting, and deployment of complex features within large-scale codebases.
• Maintain, refactor, and modernize existing Java/J2EE applications while proactively managing technical debt.
• Provide production support and lead incident response to ensure 99%+ uptime for mission-critical systems.
• Establish coding standards, conduct comprehensive code reviews, and drive testing and monitoring strategies.
• Communicate technical concepts and incident updates effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in Java enterprise development (Java 8 or higher) and J2EE technologies.
• Strong expertise in MySQL, including complex query optimization and managing databases with 100M+ records.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MVC architecture patterns.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD practices, Git, Maven, and AWS services (S3, RDS, ECS).
• English: C1 (excellent communication skills) required.
• Location: Must be based in Quezon City, Metro Manila.

Nice to have

• Interest in Agentic AI approaches to enhance development workflows.
• Experience with Docker and modern container orchestration tools.
• Familiarity with Windows Server, PowerShell, and legacy frameworks like Caucho Resin or Apache Axis.
• Background in the automotive industry or Dealer Management Systems (DMS).
