What you will do

• Lead process hazard analysis (PHA) activities including QRA, HAZID, HAZOP, and LOPA workshops.
• Coach engineers and project managers on assessing and implementing process safety needs.
• Create and maintain internal Sila standards and guidelines for Process Safety.
• Perform risk assessments for emerging issues and develop comprehensive mitigation plans.
• Coordinate internal incident and near-miss investigations and supervise the completion of corrective actions.
• Conduct functional process safety reviews for Management of Change (MOC) workflows.

Requirements

• B.S. in Engineering with 8+ years of technical process safety experience.
• Deep knowledge of OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) and EPA Risk Management Program (RMP) requirements.
• Expertise in industry standards such as API, NFPA, ASME, CGA, and CCPS.
• Experience applying protection strategies and identifying risk reduction options.
• Must be able to work onsite in Alameda, CA, including wearing PPE and passing a respirator fit test.

Nice to have

• Experience with Dust Explosion Hazard analysis.
• Proficiency with process simulation tools.
