What you will do

• Process patient specimens and assist on-bench laboratory testing under direct, constant supervision of a licensed CLS.
• Accession and receive samples into the laboratory information management system (LIMS) to support sample throughput.
• Perform routine lab maintenance, including setting up consumables and performing instrument calibration and maintenance.
• Support quality control and quality assurance activities, including documenting QC activities and corrective actions.
• Participate in materials management (ordering, receiving, unpacking, documentation, labeling, and stocking reagents/consumables).
• Maintain confidentiality of personal health information (PHI) and complete required administrative data entry (e.g., spreadsheets).

Requirements

• AA degree required; BS/BA in a biology-related science preferred.
• 1–3 years of laboratory experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Ability to perform molecular testing techniques, including PCR and real-time PCR.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, and vendors.
