Premium Auditor

TL;DR

Premium Auditor (Insurance): Examining financial records of businesses insured by commercial property and casualty insurers with an accent on identifying fraud and ensuring regulatory compliance. Focus on conducting on-site audits within a limited territory and preparing detailed audit reports.

Location: Must be based in or near Hartford, CT, with travel required to policyholder locations.

Compensation: $44–$50 per billable hour, with an earning potential of $75k+.

What you will do

• Conduct premium audits for Workers’ Comp, General Liability, Garage, and Auto policies.
• Review financial records and apply established audit standards.
• Schedule and perform on-site audits within an assigned territory.
• Communicate with policyholders to gather necessary documentation.
• Identify discrepancies and ensure adherence to insurance regulations.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive audit reports.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must maintain personal auto insurance with minimum $100k/$300k coverage.
• 2+ years of premium audit experience preferred.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Visual Audit and Nexus Audit software.
