What you will do

• Provide strategic leadership for hardware and software configuration management, including lifecycle control, change governance, and cross-discipline integration.
• Lead configuration management support for proposals and program planning (review RFPs/SOWs, define CM scope, establish defensible BOEs, and ensure CM resourcing and alignment to enterprise standards).
• Establish and mature organizational CM capability across programs by defining CM expectations and ensuring CM work requirement flow-down, risk/dependency identification, and governance.
• Lead and govern CDM practices across multiple programs/product lines to ensure consistency, compliance, and contractual alignment.
• Serve as subject matter expert for configuration identification, change management, data management, configuration status accounting, and audit readiness; represent CDM to senior leadership, customers, auditors, and regulators.
• Oversee and optimize PLM systems and data governance protocols to improve efficiency and digital thread continuity; anticipate and resolve cross-program blocking issues.

Requirements

• US Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance is required.
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in configuration management, engineering, or manufacturing in an aerospace or other regulated manufacturing environment.
• Deep knowledge of configuration management standards and lifecycle practices across hardware, software, and systems domains (e.g., AS9100, EIA-649, MIL-STD-973, ISO-9001).
• Minimum 2-5 years of leadership or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulations, including ITAR/EAR.
