What you will do

• Own the end-to-end fraud program, defining strategy, detection rules, and response protocols.
• Deploy AI-powered fraud detection workflows to surface emerging patterns and provide real-time visibility into trends.
• Drive down fraud losses by identifying attack vectors and implementing proactive controls.
• Shape fraud tooling roadmaps in collaboration with Payments and Engineering teams.
• Manage chargeback and dispute operations, including representment strategy and win-rate optimization.
• Develop policies and SOPs that balance risk mitigation with customer experience.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in fraud operations, payments risk, or trust and safety.
• Proven track record of building AI-powered workflows for fraud detection or risk operations.
• Hands-on experience managing chargebacks, disputes, and investigations at scale.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret transaction data and set intervention thresholds.
• Familiarity with payment processors like Stripe or Adyen and fraud detection tooling.
• Must be based in or commutable to New York City or San Francisco.
