What you will do

• Lead the development of major team-scoped projects and participate in cross-team initiatives.
• Design and implement APIs with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Actively participate in product work by providing technical insights and suggesting improvements.
• Debug and solve complex technical and business issues within the shared codebase.
• Mentor and provide guidance to other engineers to facilitate professional growth.
• Participate in non-team activities including support rotations, hiring, and RFC discussions.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Senior Backend Engineer building and maintaining complex software projects.
• Proficiency with Postgres or similar relational databases.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins).
• English proficiency: C1 level required for standardized communication.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully hirify.global, asynchronous environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with functional programming languages (Elixir, Erlang, Scala, Clojure, Haskell).
• Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies like React or Next.js.
