Test Technician I

Location: Apex, North Carolina, United States; onsite manufacturing role

Salary: $34,960–$55,955 per year, depending on the geographic market

What you will do

• Conduct tests and inspections on manufacturing components, products, and systems.
• Test and calibrate force-torque sensor systems using scripted calibration programs and weights.
• Record test results, product performance data, and calibration outcomes accurately.
• Troubleshoot product, system, and calibration issues and collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering.
• Perform light tooling assembly and recommend process or equipment improvements for engineering review.
• Maintain production equipment and keep the work floor clean, safe, and compliant.

Requirements

• Electromechanical assembly and troubleshooting experience.
• Hands-on experience using calibrated equipment.
• Ability to lift and hang calibration weights of up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to read assembly drawings, work instructions, and other technical documentation.
• Computer skills including Windows, Excel, Outlook, Teams, ERP systems, PDF files, and custom test software.
• High school diploma required; ability to read and communicate in English required.

Nice to have

• Some postsecondary education.
• Experience applying Lean principles to continuous improvement.
