Sales Engineer (Security)

Location: Must be based in Detroit, MI, USA

What you will do

• Act as a subject matter expert for system design tasks and maintain Axis Experience Center equipment.
• Support pre-sales activities by advising on and recommending hardware and software platforms.
• Provide design training and best practices to the sales organization, channel partners, and end users.
• Conduct site surveys, camera placement, and network design including bandwidth and storage calculations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify service improvements and offerings.

Requirements

• Must be based in Detroit, MI, USA.
• Bachelors’ degree or diploma in IT, networking, computer science, or security risk management.
• 3+ years of industry experience in customer-facing roles related to systems design, engineering, or integration.
• Strong networking knowledge including TCP/IP, routers, switches, and VPNs.
• Extensive experience with system design tools such as Visio and CAD.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time and work at heights (ladders, rooftops).
