Electrical Supervisor

What you will do

• Supervise and coordinate electricians, technicians, and contractors; plan daily tasks and monitor work quality against drawings and method statements.
• Oversee LV electrical maintenance and installation, including MCCs, pumps, panels, cabling, instrumentation, and control equipment; ensure PPM is completed and reactive work is addressed.
• Ensure compliance with BS7671 (IET Wiring Regulations), WIMES, Health & Safety requirements, LOTO procedures, and DSEAR/ATEX where applicable.
• Lead risk assessments, method statements, toolbox talks, and safety briefings; maintain accurate test certificates and commissioning records.
• Diagnose electrical, control, and automation faults; escalate complex issues with engineering teams, SCADA/ICA engineers, and OEMs; perform root cause analysis after failures.
• Support capital/refurbishment projects by supervising electrical works, ensuring contractor compliance with permits-to-work and site rules, and assisting with design reviews and handover documentation.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
• City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations) and City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) (or equivalent).
• CSCS/ECS card, SSSTS card, and Jib Gold card.
• Water Hygiene / EUSR National Water Hygiene “Blue Card” (or ability to obtain).
• Proven experience supervising electrical works in the water or utilities industry, including knowledge of water treatment assets.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
