What you will do

• Implement mechanical designs using Creo 3D CAD and generate necessary documentation for prototyping and manufacturing.
• Manage BOM structures and product releases using Agile PLM tools.
• Collaborate with ECAD teams on PCB placement and design verification.
• Work with contract manufacturers to address DFM concerns and resolve production issues.
• Perform hands-on lab testing to debug design issues and validate prototypes against MCAD specifications.
• Travel to supplier sites as needed to troubleshoot issues and expedite builds.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in mechanical design for computer or network equipment in data centers.
• Proficiency in sheet metal and plastic part design.
• Experience with ECO, BOM, and Deviation processes.
• Fluent in English.
• Ability to lift weights upwards of 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience with PTC Creo and Windchill (PDMLink).
• Background in thermal simulation, air flow testing, or liquid cooling systems.
• Hands-on experience with shock, vibration, and EMC testing.
