Cardiac Monitoring Technician (Cardiac Health)

Location: Hybrid role based in Deerfield, Illinois, with weekly in-office attendance; candidates must live within 70 miles of the Deerfield office and attend local IDTF shifts as required.

What you will do

• Review 90-second ECG strips and related algorithm findings using the Transmissions tools for clinical accuracy and completeness.
• Perform quality assurance on reports for medical professionals and make approved format modifications or additions.
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias accurately while developing advanced ECG analysis skills.
• Communicate critical findings to medical professionals verbally and in writing.
• Contact patients by telephone to obtain follow-up transmissions when required.
• Maintain productivity, quality, HIPAA, Good Clinical Practice, and role-specific compliance standards.

Requirements

• Must live within 70 miles of the Deerfield office and be able to attend weekly in-office and local IDTF shifts.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) certification; an RN or Paramedic/EMT-P license may be accepted in lieu of CCT certification according to company policy.
• At least one year of experience in healthcare, health insurance, medical devices, or equivalent education and training.
• Intermediate to advanced ECG rhythm interpretation skills, knowledge of cardiology terminology, and proficiency with cardiac monitoring systems.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, time management, attention to detail, and independent working skills.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or two years of college coursework.
• Experience in patient care, clinical operations, laboratory, diagnostic, ECG monitoring, Holter technology, cardiac rehabilitation, nursing, or critical care transport.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or facilitating training.
