What you will do

• Lead the functional implementation of Workday Core Financials, Procurement, and Expenses, representing business requirements and validating partner designs.
• Oversee global design decisions including Chart of Accounts, multi-entity/multi-currency structures, and statutory compliance.
• Manage data readiness, migration strategy, and reconciliation rules for legacy decommissioning.
• Define test strategies, oversee UAT/SIT execution, and manage defect triage during the implementation phase.
• Own the post-go-live functional roadmap, including feature releases, system optimization, and AI/ML innovation.
• Enable real-time financial insights through reporting, dashboards, and Adaptive Planning integration.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US East Coast
• Significant experience as a functional lead or senior consultant in Workday Financials, including at least one full-lifecycle implementation.
• Deep functional knowledge of Core Financials (GL, AP, AR), Expenses, and Procurement.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP/IFRS, intercompany consolidations, and multi-currency tax requirements.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior finance leaders and manage cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience with Workday EIB/Studio/Cloud Connect and familiarity with iPaaS tools like MuleSoft.

Nice to have

• Workday certification in Financials, Expenses, or Procurement.
• Experience with Prism Analytics, role-based security design, and SOX audit processes.
• Exposure to Adaptive Planning or NetSuite.
