What you will do

• Modernize legacy services by analyzing codebases and extracting clean APIs using AI tools.
• Implement strangler fig patterns to migrate high-impact services with improved performance and reliability.
• Build AI-powered development infrastructure, including MCP servers and automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop reusable AI tooling and workflows for broader engineering adoption.
• Demonstrate AI-first development by using LLMs for refactoring, testing, and debugging.
• Train and mentor teams on AI-enabled workflows during service handoffs.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with Java backend expertise.
• Hands-on experience building with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and agentic AI solutions.
• Proven track record of modernizing production systems at scale.
• Strong knowledge of API design, microservices, and legacy migration strategies.
• Demonstrated use of AI development tools like Claude Code or GitHub Copilot in production.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid model in Kraków, Poland.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted security scanning and automated test generation.
• Background in financial services or high-load trading platforms.
