TL;DR
Senior Systems Engineer (Aerospace & Defense): Developing and integrating advanced mission payload hardware and software for first-of-kind space vehicles with an accent on cryptographic and communications subsystems. Focus on providing System Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) to the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO) and ensuring the delivery of operationally dominant space capabilities.
Location: On-site in Albuquerque, NM (Travel: Up to 30% within continental United States)

What you will do
- Lead and support the design, interpretation, and analysis of technical solutions for complex space vehicle projects.
- Provide SETA support to the Space RCO, specializing in cryptographic and communication subsystems.
- Develop and supervise requirements from inception to conclusion for highly classified programs.
- Coordinate with multiple partners and agencies to meet system engineering delivery milestones.
- Analyze and recommend improvements for mission-critical challenges and client-specific needs.
- Perform engineering research and design development according to customer specifications.
Requirements
- TS/SCI clearance with SAP Eligibility and willingness to undergo a CI Poly.
- Relevant MA/MS/ME degree from an ABET-accredited program.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in DoD/IC or relevant industry.
- At least 2 years of total SAP and/or SCI environment experience (including 1 year within the last 5 years).
- Proven expertise in developing and fielding cryptographic and satellite communication systems.
- Knowledge of space mission payload engineering, development, and manufacturing.
Nice to have
- 5+ years of DoD/Industry experience specifically with SAP/RSV and/or SCI.
- Previous experience as SETA to a Government program office.
- Experience with rapid prototyping and ACAT I/II level acquisition programs.
- Background in integrated air, space, and cyberspace capabilities.
- Experience planning and executing test campaigns for space systems.
