Senior API Engineer (Python)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Python SDKs that wrap APIs and services.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices with FastAPI.
• Deploy and operate cloud-native services on AWS, including Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, S3, SQS/SNS, RDS, and DynamoDB.
• Define API contracts, data models, integration patterns, and security mechanisms with Product and Platform teams.
• Improve performance, scalability, reliability, maintainability, documentation, and developer experience.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and contribute to CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and architectural decisions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Python Engineer.
• Experience building REST APIs with FastAPI, Flask, Django REST Framework, or similar frameworks.
• Experience designing SDKs or client libraries, including multi-language SDKs such as Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of AWS core services, HTTP, REST, JSON, API design, IAM, and cloud/API security.
• Hands-on experience with pytest, unit and integration testing, Git, code reviews, CI/CD, and modern software development workflows.
• Knowledge of asynchronous Python programming, clean code, SOLID principles, OpenAPI/Swagger, PyPI publishing, package versioning, and changelog management.
