Senior Delphi Developer (Delphi)

hirify.global is hiring for a large supermarket chain operating 15 stores in Kharkiv, Ukraine.

What you will do

• Design and implement enterprise information and computing systems for retail operations.
• Design, configure, optimize, and support Oracle databases and related data integrations.
• Plan and execute database migrations between legacy and modern versions.
• Develop and maintain cashier, administrative workstation, reporting, and business analytics modules.
• Refactor and modernize legacy code to improve stability, performance, and scalability.
• Implement authorized remote data access and maintain backup and recovery mechanisms.

Requirements

• 6+ years of commercial software engineering experience, preferably in enterprise or retail management solutions.
• Advanced Delphi expertise, including multi-version development, object-oriented design, and framework usage.
• Strong Oracle database experience, including PL/SQL, performance tuning, query optimization, and data architecture mapping.
• Strong knowledge of relational database management systems, data structures, and database administration tools.
• English proficiency is not required.

Nice to have

• Experience with InterBase, Firebird, MySQL, or shell scripting.
• Knowledge of network administration or virtual workspace environments such as VNC.
• Experience with retail or e-commerce data structures.
