Salary: $165,000 - $244,000

What you will do

• Manage released product head performance from qualification through high-volume manufacturing and end-of-life.
• Define and execute continuation strategies aligned with the product roadmap to improve yield, quality, and cost.
• Act as the primary technical authority to validate recording head issues and guide response strategies.
• Lead cross-functional root cause investigations and corrective actions for high-impact product challenges.
• Partner with data analytics, design, and manufacturing teams to align on priorities and execution plans.
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing global engineering team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience (or 12 years with a Master's, or 8 years with a PhD).
• 10+ years of experience in semiconductor, storage, or advanced manufacturing environments.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams and cross-functional programs.
• Strong technical background in wafer, slider, HGA, or drive integration.
• Proven ability to lead complex problem solving using data-driven approaches.

Nice to have

• Technical expertise in recording physics, specifically HAMR technology.
• Experience in product integration or performance analysis roles.
• Experience leading globally distributed teams.
