What you will do

• Evaluate and underwrite new and renewal casualty reinsurance treaties, including risk exposure assessment, pricing, and terms.
• Develop and implement underwriting standards and best practices to maintain portfolio profitability.
• Manage a portfolio of casualty reinsurance treaties aligned with profitability and growth objectives.
• Perform in-depth portfolio analysis to identify optimization and diversification opportunities.
• Assess and manage treaty-related risks and execute risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and underwriting best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, actuarial science, or a related field.
• Extensive experience (15+ years preferred) in casualty and workers’ compensation reinsurance underwriting.
• In-depth knowledge of casualty insurance products and underwriting principles.
• Exceptional negotiation and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with cedents, brokers, and actuarial teams.
