What you will do

• Set up and execute simple to complex system-level FEA simulations.
• Post-process large datasets from simulation runs.
• Summarize and present findings to Product Design Engineers.
• Provide design improvement recommendations and iterate quickly in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

• MS in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency in Abaqus (implicit and explicit FEA).
• Strong knowledge of solid mechanics.
• Must be able to work 100% onsite in Cupertino, CA.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, or Material Science.
• Experience with ANSA and META.
• Background in IC packaging, board-level solder joint reliability, shock, and thermal cycling.
• Knowledge of mechanical behavior of materials and constitutive modeling.
