Compensation: $168,300 – $312,600 USD (Total Target Compensation/OTE for Zone 3).

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end pre-sales engagements, including discovery, solution design, and technical closure.
• Deliver high-impact technical demonstrations and executive presentations to C-level leadership.
• Design and execute proof-of-concepts (POCs) aligned with customer success criteria and operational realities.
• Translate complex business objectives and compliance requirements into scalable technical architectures.
• Collaborate with account executives, product management, and engineering to influence roadmap and strategy.
• Mentor less experienced team members and contribute to technical enablement.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering or solutions architecture within DoD programs.
• Must reside in the DC/MD/VA area.
• Hands-on experience with virtualized infrastructure (VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix) at enterprise scale.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise storage systems (SAN, NAS, object storage) and backup appliances.
• Strong understanding of data security, privacy, and regulatory frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
• Ability to travel 50-75% of the time.

Nice to have

• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native backup.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized workloads (Kasten K10).
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and SaaS data protection.
• Scripting or automation skills (PowerShell, Python, REST APIs).
