What you will do

• Lead CMP polishing process research, development, and deployment for HDD glass substrates.
• Manage a team of engineers and technicians to ensure optimal process and equipment performance.
• Drive daily engineering activities to meet safety, quality, and production targets.
• Implement data-driven process improvements to enhance yield, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support new product and process introductions.
• Coach and develop team members to foster a culture of innovation and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science.
• Solid technical foundation in CMP/surface polishing and manufacturing process engineering.
• Proven experience in high-volume manufacturing environments, specifically precision machining or HDD substrate production.
• Demonstrated success in troubleshooting and improving process performance (yield, quality, cost).
• Experience leading or mentoring technicians and junior engineers.
• Strong statistical foundation with methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or SPC.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma Black or Brown belt certification.
