What you will do

• Develop and maintain ML models for demand forecasting, cost estimation, and partner routing.
• Design and build reliable training and inference pipelines on AWS.
• Apply tree-based methods, probabilistic models, and deep learning to marketplace challenges.
• Conduct offline experiments, including A/B testing and backtesting, to validate model performance.
• Monitor production models to identify and address drift or degradation.
• Mentor and support mid-level and junior engineers within the team.

Requirements

• Proven experience building and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
• Strong coding skills in Python and experience with frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
• Solid understanding of supervised and probabilistic modelling, including regression and uncertainty estimation.
• Hands-on experience with ML pipelines, model versioning, and MLOps tools.
• Experience working with real-world, messy data and solving ambiguous problems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with marketplace or pricing models such as price elasticity or cost estimation.
• Background in operations research, econometrics, or supply chain optimisation.
• Experience working with 3D or geometric data like CAD, point clouds, or mesh processing.
• Experience designing and scaling ML infrastructure for production systems.
• Strong communication skills for explaining complex models to non-technical stakeholders.
