What you will do

• Build machine-learning models using graph data science: Neo4j Cypher production queries, traversal logic, GraphRAG, knowledge graphs, property graph data models, and embedding vectors.
• Develop ML models on tabular data with feature engineering, cross-validation design, model selection, and interpretability with multivariate statistical analysis.
• Create, validate, and maintain predictive performance models across business units using multi-source data.
• Develop agentic AI tooling with Azure and AWS Bedrock, including artifact generation, storage/processing, unit testing, LLM tooling, prompt engineering, tool/function calling, and structured outputs.
• Deliver production-quality Python code (pandas, polars, numpy, scipy, scikit-learn) and APIs (FastAPI), working with git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Communicate scientific and model results in decision-relevant language and collaborate with business units to commercialize research outcomes.

Requirements

• Location: Delft Biotech Campus, Netherlands
• Ph.D., master’s degree, or equivalent experience in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Structural Biology, Computer Science, AI, or a related field.
• 5+ years of academic or industrial experience in chemical industry areas such as bio- and cheminformatics or formulation.
• Proven experience working in high-performance teams and guiding technical work to successful outcomes.
• Track record of data-driven insights that inform business decisions, with strong drive and entrepreneurial innovation.
