What you will do
- Design and develop embedded low-level software, drivers, and firmware for automotive microcontrollers and processors.
- Manage the full software lifecycle, including requirements, architecture, design, implementation, integration, and testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional hardware, system, and validation teams to provide technical guidance.
- Drive key architecture decisions and mentor junior engineers to foster knowledge sharing.
- Implement process improvements and maintain coding standards aligned with AUTOSAR and ASPICE.
Requirements
- Strong professional experience in embedded C programming.
- Deep understanding of CPU architecture, memory, interrupts, and microcontrollers.
- Advanced debugging skills for embedded targets and low-level software.
- Proven experience in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- English: Spoken and written proficiency required.
- Location: Must be based in or able to work from the Bucharest office.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Autosar standards, tooling, and methodology.
- Experience with ARM architectures (CortexM7, CortexR52, CortexM0+) and software specs (SCMI, PSCI).
- Proficiency with RTOS (AUTOSAR OS, FreeRTOS) and memory stacks (Flash, UFS, eMMC, bootloaders).
- Experience with CI/CD, Git, makefiles, and scripting languages.
- Ability to read hardware schematics and understand HW/SW interactions.
