What you will do

• Develop C++/Linux software components for automotive telematics with a focus on networking.
• Review software specifications, architecture, and design documents and create component designs.
• Analyze embedded software to add features, fix defects, and port components to different platforms.
• Debug issues, perform root-cause analysis, implement fixes, and verify their effectiveness.
• Specify and implement unit tests, perform functional and system-level testing, and participate in code reviews.
• Coordinate requirements and technical solutions with software leads, internal teams, and customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related IT field.
• At least 3 years of software development experience, including 3+ years of C++ development.
• Expertise in Linux, embedded applications, and embedded operating systems.
• Knowledge of inter-process communication, threading, and socket communication.
• Working knowledge of software development processes and automotive software standards.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills; willingness to travel up to 20% as required by the project.

Nice to have

• Multithreading, asynchronous programming, modem middleware, eSIM, VoLTE, 3GPP, and telecommunications knowledge.
• VoIP, SOME/IP, CAPI, TCP, UDP, UML, Agile, Scrum, or SAFe experience.
• Knowledge of Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G/4G, software updates, diagnostics, security, or Linux kernel operation.
• Automotive industry experience and the ability to coordinate resources when required.
