TL;DR

Location: Bucharest, Romania / Full-time remote work globally available

What you will do

  • Develop C++ software components and design documents based on automotive specifications.
  • Implement inter-process communication, threading, and socket communication for Telematics.
  • Perform functional testing, code reviews, and create unit tests to ensure high software quality.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and debug issues using gdb.
  • Analyze and modify existing embedded software to add new features or port to different platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers to define and refine technical requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related IT specialization.
  • 4+ years of professional experience as a software developer.
  • 3+ years of proven experience with C++.
  • Strong expertise in Embedded Linux and embedded application development.
  • Proficiency in English communication (written and verbal).
  • Willingness to travel 0-20% of the time based on project needs.

Nice to have

  • Experience with TCP, UDP, MQTT, and CAN protocols.
  • Knowledge of Unified Modelling Language (UML).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (SCRUM, SAFe).
  • Experience working with the Linux Kernel.
