AVP, Data Loss Prevention Engineer (Cybersecurity): Designing and implementing enterprise-wide data loss prevention policies and rules to safeguard organizational data with an accent on risk reduction and regulatory compliance. Focus on defining DLP strategy, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and enhancing security capabilities against data exfiltration threats.

Location: Must be based in the U.S. and able to commute to a hirify.global Hub for in-person engagement.

Salary: $100,000 – $170,000 USD Annual

What you will do

  • Design and build effective DLP policies and rules to protect sensitive data.
  • Support the Data Protection product owner in defining the strategy and roadmap for DLP services.
  • Develop and manage metrics to track the effectiveness of data loss prevention efforts.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for IT and business stakeholders regarding data protection.
  • Ensure security capabilities align with industry standards and regulations like PCI-DSS and HIPAA.
  • Stay current with the emerging threat landscape to proactively enhance security strategies.

Requirements

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required (no visa sponsorship).
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in Information Security or Engineering (or 7+ years of equivalent experience without a degree).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience specifically in a data loss prevention role.
  • Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required.
  • Willingness to undergo a background investigation, drug test, and fingerprinting.
  • Ability to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
