Derivative Operations Manager (Asset Management)

What you will do

• Manage the team overseeing OTC and ETD trade booking, lifecycle management, reconciliations, collateral and margin movements, blotters, and client reports.
• Oversee State Street Alpha as the outsourced provider for derivatives and collateral activities.
• Provide control sign-off and ensure documentation, GIPS, SOC1, internal audit, and regulatory requirements are met.
• Lead and mentor the team with an empathetic, example-based management style.
• Implement operational and systems changes, challenge existing processes, and identify opportunities to automate manual work.
• Collaborate and cross-train with global partners to improve capabilities and coverage.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in derivative operations.
• Experience leading and mentoring a team.
• Experience with Charles River CRIMS.
• Understanding of equities, ETFs, FX, and derivative products including IRS, CDS, options, futures, TRS, and FX forwards.
• Strong knowledge of collateral management for ETD and cleared or uncleared OTC products, plus OTC pricing techniques.
• Experience with Markitwire, DTCC, and Icelink; familiarity with ISDA definitions and strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SQL and Power Automate.
