What you will do

  • Own end-to-end administration of medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans (401k).
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and FMLA.
  • Manage annual open enrollment, coordinating with vendors and configuring HRIS systems.
  • Lead renewals, RFPs, and contract negotiations with benefits brokers and carriers.
  • Collaborate with Payroll, Legal, and Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and cost-containment.
  • Support M&A activity through benefits due diligence and plan transitions for acquired companies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in HR benefits administration, preferably in a multi-state organization.
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. benefits compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience managing benefits vendors and brokers.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, and Payroll departments.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting a workforce across all 50 US states.
  • Prior experience in high-growth, acquisition-driven environments.
  • Familiarity with HRIS and benefits administration platforms.
  • Professional certifications such as CEBS, PHR, or SPHR.
