Mortgage Loan Servicing Specialist (Commercial Real Estate)

Salary: $65,000–$72,000 USD annual base salary

What you will do

• Serve as the primary customer service contact for an assigned commercial real estate loan portfolio, responding to borrowers, correspondents, auditors, clients, servicers, brokers, inspection firms, and other partners.
• Set up new loans in the commercial loan servicing system and distribute required notifications and welcome letters.
• Monitor payments, delinquency, non-monetary defaults, suspense accounts, delinquency reports, unapplied payments, and refunds; support payment issue resolution.
• Support escrow analysis, insurance exception and claim reviews, property inspections, deferred maintenance reviews, property tax and insurance compliance, and portfolio transfers.
• Calculate prepayment premiums, assist with loan payoffs, create amortization schedules, review loan documents, and support year-end reporting.
• Perform internal and external reporting and audits, follow company and departmental procedures, and develop effective working relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• 2–5 years of relevant work experience with an understanding of commercial real estate.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong quantitative and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Team-oriented approach, strong work ethic, and effective time management skills.
• Strong understanding of commercial real estate transactions and industry terminology.
• Advanced knowledge of amortization schedules and commercial real estate debt and valuation concepts.
• Experience reading and interpreting complex loan documents.
• Knowledge of best practices for servicing commercial mortgage loans and experience with loan administration and accounting systems.
