What you will do

• Lead and provide solutions for front-end requirements and features for USPTO Patent Center modules.
• Coordinate and deliver UI/UX across the platform, leading design meetings and collaborating with Product Managers and UX designers.
• Mentor junior developers and ensure high code quality through systematic code reviews.
• Translate business objectives into complete, functional user interfaces, focusing on wireframes and coding.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner, including rotating off-hours support.
• Ensure strict browser compatibility and adherence to 508 accessibility standards.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience in frontend development.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Advanced knowledge of Angular (6–20), TypeScript, RxJS, and Angular Material.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, SASS/LESS, and responsive mobile-first design.
• Deep understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG / Section 508 / AODA).
• Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.

Nice to have

• Backend knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js integration.
• Understanding of AWS architecture and AI technologies.
