Salary: $55,377.92 – $89,254.36 per year

What you will do

• Gather, write, and edit multimedia content for print, digital, broadcast, and video services.
• Report breaking news with speed and high accuracy.
• Monitor social media and various news outlets to track trends across Atlantic Canada.
• Proactively uncover news stories of interest to a national audience.
• Produce audio and video clips to supplement reporting.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in a newsroom.
• Experience using video, multimedia, and broadcast platforms.
• Must be based in Halifax and have the ability to travel within Atlantic Canada.
• Proven ability to work independently and under tight deadline pressures.
• Exceptional research and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Ability to speak French.
• Experience in producing professional audio and video clips.
