What you will do

• Carry out active and passive fire protection systems surveys and produce comprehensive technical reports.
• Perform compliance assessments based on British Fire Safety Legislation and standards (ADB, BS9999, BS9991, BS7974).
• Conduct third-party oversight of fire stopping and fire compartmentation installations.
• Perform visual fire door inspections and identify non-conformities according to BS8214.
• Manage a dedicated client base and deliver in-house CPD presentations in your specialist field.
• Travel routinely to client sites across the UK, including occasional overnight stays.

Requirements

• Degree in Building Surveying, Fire Safety Management, or a similar discipline.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a private vehicle.
• Experience conducting fire compartmentation surveys and advising contractors based on manufacturer's literature.
• Ability to author in-depth technical reports using MS Word and bespoke digital fire protection software.
• Advanced knowledge of construction methods, forms of construction, and refurbishment schemes.
• Proficiency in using mobile applications for survey data input.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the Fire Risk Assessment process.
• Experience carrying out intrusive external wall surveys on high-rise residential, office, or retail buildings.
