Insurance & Risk Strategy Lead

What you will do

• Develop the insurance and risk management strategy for a circular-economy platform.
• Evaluate customer, operational, environmental, transportation, and asset-related risks.
• Build scalable frameworks for risk assessment and management across customer engagements.
• Develop relationships with carriers, brokers, MGAs, and underwriting organizations.
• Advise leadership and enterprise customers on insurance requirements, liability, underwriting trends, and risk mitigation.
• Support new insurance-enabled products, strategic partnerships, and go-to-market initiatives.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in commercial insurance, underwriting, brokerage, risk management, or insurance consulting.
• Deep expertise in industrial, manufacturing, logistics, energy, infrastructure, environmental, or asset-intensive industries.
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and underwriting principles.
• Direct experience with insurance carriers, brokerage firms, and enterprise clients.
• Existing relationships across carriers, brokers, underwriters, and risk management organizations.
• Strong business judgment, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with energy, industrial, circular economy, sustainability, recycling, or reverse logistics organizations.
• Background developing underwriting programs, specialty insurance products, or strategic insurance partnerships.
• Startup, venture-backed company, or emerging-market experience.
• CPCU, ARM, CRM, or similar industry certification.
• Experience building new business lines, partnerships, or insurance programs from the ground up.
