What you will do

• Define and execute permitting strategies for infrastructure, energy, and industrial projects in Spain, Latin America, and EMEA.
• Review and interpret environmental regulations, permit conditions, and technical studies to identify project obligations.
• Map full permitting chains including EIA/DIA, urban planning, and grid permits.
• Collaborate with project teams, clients, and regulatory stakeholders to manage approval processes.
• Translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable insights for English-speaking project teams.
• Provide training on permitting strategies and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, biology, or related discipline.
• Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) is mandatory.
• Strong, hands-on experience with Spain permitting frameworks, including EIA/DIA and municipal licensing.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding including background checks.
• Must be based in Madrid, Spain.

Nice to have

• 8+ years of experience in environmental permitting or infrastructure advisory.
• Experience with Latin American or UK permitting frameworks.
• Understanding of grid connection and electrical infrastructure permitting.
