TL;DR
Senior Global Benefits & Leaves Specialist (HR/Total Rewards): Designing and implementing global leave programs and philosophies for 10+ countries with an accent on regulatory compliance and Workday integration. Focus on building scalable infrastructure for disability, parental, and statutory leaves to enhance employee experience.
Location: Remote (Canada); hybrid expectation for those in Toronto, Calgary, or Vancouver to be in office at least twice per week.
Salary: $89,300 – $120,700 CAD

What you will do
- Design and document a globally consistent leave philosophy aligned with company values and total rewards strategy.
- Benchmark and implement leave programs (STD, LTD, parental, sick, and statutory) across 10+ countries.
- Partner with Legal, People Business Partners, and Payroll to ensure compliance in Canada, US, UK, Ireland, Australia, Spain, and LATAM.
- Integrate leave programs with Workday and payroll for accurate tracking, accruals, and reporting.
- Develop employee-facing resources, manager toolkits, and training for leave administration.
- Act as the senior escalation point for complex leave and accommodation cases.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in global leaves, absence management, or disability programs.
- Deep knowledge of leave-related regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions, specifically the US and Canada.
- Proven ability to lead major projects end-to-end, building structure from high-level vision.
- Experience in fast-paced tech or high-growth environments, comfortable with ambiguity.
- Must be based in Canada.
