Construction Engineer (Data Centre)

Location: Onsite in Gumi, South Korea

What you will do

• Represent Nscale onsite and oversee daily construction operations with the general contractor.
• Coordinate communication between Nscale leadership, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Monitor contractor progress, manpower, schedules, procurement, production delivery, and QA/QC hold points.
• Enforce Nscale and contractor safety programs, supporting proactive risk management and quality delivery.
• Support equipment procurement, submittals, RFIs, field changes, issue resolution, and the transition from construction to operations.
• Maintain accurate Interface Management System and Electronic Document Management System reporting and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 7 years of pre-construction experience managing data centres.
• Experience with large-scale data centre, mission-critical, or industrial construction projects.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil, and structural systems in high-performance facilities.
• Experience working with commissioning teams and supporting the transition from construction to operations.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, high-intensity environment and be based onsite in Gumi.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Procore.
• Familiarity with formal interface management and document control processes on large capital projects.
