What you will do
- Lead an independent research group at the AI Hub in Heidelberg to pursue ambitious research in AI for biology.
- Create and execute an innovative research program adapting cutting-edge AI techniques to biological questions.
- Collaborate with a diverse, interdisciplinary community of scientists across 's units and sites.
- Mentor and inspire a team of Ph.D. students and post-doctoral researchers.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of AI-driven innovations in life sciences.
Requirements
- PhD in a relevant field with an excellent research record in AI.
- Strong interest and vision for applying AI and machine learning to biological research.
- Proven leadership potential and a dedication to mentoring and nurturing talent.
- Ability to work in a highly international and collaborative environment.
- Must be available for onsite work in Heidelberg, Germany.
