What you will do

• Lead an independent research group at the AI Hub in Heidelberg to pursue ambitious research in AI for biology.
• Create and execute an innovative research program adapting cutting-edge AI techniques to biological questions.
• Collaborate with a diverse, interdisciplinary community of scientists across hirify.global's units and sites.
• Mentor and inspire a team of Ph.D. students and post-doctoral researchers.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of AI-driven innovations in life sciences.

Requirements

• PhD in a relevant field with an excellent research record in AI.
• Strong interest and vision for applying AI and machine learning to biological research.
• Proven leadership potential and a dedication to mentoring and nurturing talent.
• Ability to work in a highly international and collaborative environment.
• Must be available for onsite work in Heidelberg, Germany.
