Lead SRE Engineer (Azure)

Location: Illinois, United States; hybrid

Salary: $150,000–$224,000 per year, plus annual performance bonus and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Monitor and improve the baseline performance, availability, and reliability of hirify.globalOne core cloud services and applications.
• Identify gaps in monitoring and alerting and provide reliability guidance to Engineering teams.
• Plan and coordinate mid-size software projects that deliver SRE tools and systems.
• Provide technical leadership in system design, implementation, troubleshooting, and risk reduction.
• Lead onboarding, coaching, recruitment participation, and development of SRE team members.
• Support customer consultations, complex performance incidents, incident management, postmortems, and continuous infrastructure improvements.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, PowerShell, SQL and NoSQL databases, orchestration services, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with system monitoring and alerting, DevOps practices, CI/CD, software architecture, and design patterns.
• Experience using tools such as JIRA, New Relic, Jenkins, and Tableau.
• Very good spoken and written English is required.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, teamwork, ownership, and technical leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global Server or hirify.globalOne, with RCA preferred.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and rapid development cycles.
