What you will do

• Develop and optimize test methodologies for optical and electrical performance validation.
• Design, set up, and maintain automated and semi-automated optical/electrical test stations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with design, packaging, and process teams to ensure design-for-test alignment.
• Support test readiness for new product introduction (NPI) and mass production ramp.
• Interact with external vendors and contract manufacturers to resolve issues and improve test quality.
• Document test processes, procedures, and technical learnings.

Requirements

• BS degree with 8+ years or MS degree with 5+ years of experience in silicon photonics, optical/electrical device characterization, and testing.
• Hands-on experience with optical and electrical test equipment such as SMU, optical switches, OSA, tunable lasers, and polarization controllers.
• Experience in equipment automation control for testing.
• Familiarity with photonics concepts including waveguides, modulators, photodetectors, and fiber coupling techniques.
• Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. export control laws and regulations.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in object-oriented scripting languages like C++, Python, Visual Basic, or LabVIEW for volume production.
