Junior DevOps Engineer

TL;DR

Junior DevOps Engineer (DevOps): Supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of automation solutions for the MineStar product suite with an accent on CI/CD pipeline reliability and infrastructure efficiency. Focus on building automation workflows, collaborating with Agile teams, and troubleshooting deployment processes under the guidance of senior engineers.

Location: Must work onsite full-time in Brisbane, Australia

What you will do

• Assist in building and maintaining automation across build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to maintain CI/CD pipelines and environments.
• Contribute to the implementation and troubleshooting of deployment automation.
• Participate in root cause analysis for incidents and support the implementation of fixes.
• Maintain documentation including runbooks and procedures in Confluence and Azure DevOps.
• Continuously learn new tools and DevOps practices with support from senior team members.

Requirements

• Must be based in Brisbane, Australia
• 1–3 years of experience in DevOps, software engineering, or IT operations.
• Basic understanding of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code concepts like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile practices.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice to have

• Entry-level cloud certifications such as Azure Fundamentals or AWS Cloud Practitioner.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Basic knowledge of databases such as SQL Server or Postgres.
• Academic or project experience with microservices-based applications.
