Principal Critical Network Platforms (Hybrid Infrastructure): Designing and building high-quality hybrid infrastructure platforms for network automation tooling and engineering workloads with an accent on on-premises data centers, private cloud, and public cloud integration. Focus on scalability, security, and the implementation of IaC and GitOps patterns to ensure production readiness.

Location: Hybrid (3 days office in Macquarie Park, NSW, 2 days remote)

What you will do

• Define and maintain hybrid infrastructure architecture patterns across on-premises data centres, private cloud (OpenShift, Proxmox), and public cloud (AWS, GCP).
• Lead infrastructure build reviews and provide architectural assurance to ensure scalability, security, and compliance.
• Build and sustain on-premises compute platforms, including bare-metal server provisioning and capacity modelling.
• Deploy and manage Red Hat OpenShift container platform environments and ongoing day-2 operations.
• Develop IaC frameworks using Terraform and Ansible for dependable provisioning and configuration management.
• Coordinate CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure delivery using GitLab CI/CD and GitOps patterns.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building and architecting production hybrid infrastructure in large, complex environments.
• Hands-on experience with on-premises compute infrastructure and data centre capacity planning.
• Extensive proficiency in Proxmox VE and Red Hat OpenShift container platforms.
• Strong expertise in Terraform and Ansible for production-grade hybrid infrastructure.
• Practical experience with public cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP) and hybrid networking solutions.
• Must be based in or able to work in Macquarie Park, NSW.
